Sewing

I am sewing. I’m really pleased to be seeing. It’s a happy project, new to me – constructing a garment from a pattern. I am such a bad guide follower, which is why I don’t use patterns normally, but this experience may even see me buying a French curve.

Lots of this going on

lazy, lazy days.

it’s ok right? to not rush about, to just let everything unfurl and relax without clock watching all the time?

I may sew, I may bead, I may just have another cuppa.

Recommitting

I am unearthing this blog from underneath the crap it has been resting under for the last 11 months and no doubt to your undeniable joy, I will document all the sewing/chocolate consumption and other minutae of my life.

Maybe it’ll give me something to focus on.

But first….

WordPress on iphone

I am not sure if wordpress works properly on my iPhone. or should I say from my iPhone.
facebook and Twitter and now tumblr have been taking my copious amounts of time. sewing has been done and posts have been written , but it seems they don’t post!
am cranking this old thing back up, lots of new ideas, commissions and proof I have a life need to be posted :)

Flowers and tiny bags

I did do the Macmillan fair in Sept. No pictures but I made small zipped purses, small and medium buttoned purses, cotton shoppers, cotton duck totes, one handbag. It was very successful and my first foray into selling.
As a result of people seeing my stuff, a local lady contacted me with a commission – tiny PVC fabric gift bags that she could embellish, I got 96 out of the fabric she gave me! Can’t say that PVC is my favourite material, just glad I had a Teflon sewing foot. I also started making some little fabric flower brooches, some I will attach to bags, some will be solo! I plan to make enough items to put in my etsy shop but also plan a little ‘at home’ party late Nov to sell my bags to friends (who have requested this , I’m not that pushy!).
